A very hopeful talk, I needed that after all the “collapse of the world” stuff. The attitude was dissatisfaction. The new attitude is empowerment and belief in democracy. An overwhelming support for freedom of speech as a fundamental right. A sense that if something isn’t working in your neighborhood, you can fix it.

People used to gather in cafes to watch football. Now they gather to watch parliament.
